A well is a place people come back to for something that sustains them. Songwell is where a teacher goes when a lesson needs a song.
Our story
It started in a real classroom.
Songwell grew out of songs written for the history memory work of an operating Christian school. Teachers needed a better way to help young students remember what they were learning, so the songs were written for the material they were already teaching.
The students loved them. They sang them, made up motions for them, and remembered what they sang. Other schools asked if they could use the songs too.
Songwell exists to bring those songs, and many more like them, to Christian schools everywhere, in a library that's simple for teachers to use every day.
The composer
Nic Kozushko
Nic is a composer, producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose music has been placed in national commercial campaigns. He writes the words and melody for every Songwell song and directs its production.
He writes so that children will actually sing: melodies that are memorable, a range that fits young voices, and lyrics that hold up to a teacher's scrutiny.
